California Propane understands that circumstances may change after an order has been placed. This Cancellation Policy explains when customers may request cancellation of an order and how cancellations are handled.

1. General Cancellation Policy

Customers may request cancellation of an order by contacting California Propane as soon as possible after placing the order.

Cancellation requests are subject to the status of the order and any applicable legal rights.

An order may be easier to cancel before it has entered processing, preparation, dispatch, or delivery scheduling.

Once fulfillment has started, cancellation may no longer be possible, or different conditions may apply.

• Customer name.

• Order number, if available.

• Product or service ordered.

• Delivery address, where applicable.

• Date the order was placed.

• Reason for cancellation, where relevant.

Customers should clearly state that they are requesting cancellation.

We recommend submitting cancellation requests as soon as possible so that we have a reasonable opportunity to stop fulfillment before additional processing occurs.

3. Cancellation Before Order Processing

Where a cancellation request is received before an order has entered processing or fulfillment, California Propane will generally make reasonable efforts to cancel the order.

Where payment has already been collected and a refund is due, the applicable refund will be processed in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Cancellation may remain subject to applicable product-specific requirements or legal restrictions.

4. Cancellation After Processing Has Started

If an order has already entered processing, preparation, scheduling, dispatch, or another stage of fulfillment, California Propane may not be able to cancel it immediately.

Where cancellation is still possible, California Propane will communicate the applicable conditions before confirming the cancellation.

Depending on the circumstances, a customer may instead need to follow the applicable return or refund procedure.

5. Cancellation After Dispatch

Once an order has been dispatched or placed with a delivery service, cancellation may no longer be available through the normal cancellation process.

Where possible, California Propane may attempt to stop or redirect the delivery.

If the order cannot be stopped, the customer may need to follow the applicable return procedure after delivery, where a return is legally and operationally permitted.

Certain propane, fuel, regulated, hazardous, or safety-sensitive products may be subject to additional restrictions.

6. Cancellation of Scheduled Deliveries

For orders involving scheduled delivery, customers should contact California Propane as soon as possible if they need to cancel or change the scheduled delivery.

Cancellation or rescheduling may depend on how close the request is to the scheduled delivery time and whether the order has already entered fulfillment.

Where an order can be cancelled without additional processing or delivery costs, California Propane will confirm the cancellation.

Where applicable law permits a charge associated with a late cancellation, the applicable charge will be communicated to the customer.

7. Propane and Safety-Related Orders

Propane and related products may require specialized preparation, transportation, delivery, and handling.

For this reason, cancellation of an order involving propane, filled cylinders, fuel products, pressurized containers, or other safety-sensitive products may be subject to additional operational or regulatory considerations.

Customers should contact California Propane immediately if they need to cancel such an order.

California Propane will determine whether the order can safely and lawfully be cancelled, stopped, returned, or otherwise resolved.

8. Custom or Special Orders

Certain products may be specially ordered, prepared, configured, or sourced for a particular customer.

Where a product or service is a custom or special order, cancellation may be subject to specific terms communicated before or during the transaction.

Any applicable cancellation restrictions will be based on the nature and status of the order and will not remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Cancellation by California Propane

California Propane may need to cancel an order in circumstances including:

• The product is unavailable.

• The product has been discontinued.

• An obvious pricing or listing error occurred.

• Payment cannot be authorized or completed.

• The delivery location cannot be safely or lawfully serviced.

• Required customer information cannot be verified.

• The order cannot be fulfilled in accordance with applicable laws or safety requirements.

• A security, fraud, or unauthorized transaction concern is identified.

• Circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent fulfillment.

Where California Propane cancels an order after payment has been collected and a refund is due, the applicable refund will be processed in accordance with applicable law and our Returns & Refunds Policy.

10. Refunds Following Cancellation

If a cancellation is approved and a refund is due, the refund will generally be issued using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

The time required for a refund to appear in the customer’s account may depend on the payment processor, card issuer, bank, or other financial institution.

California Propane does not control the processing time of independent financial institutions.

11. Partial Cancellations

Where an order contains multiple products or services, a customer may request cancellation of only part of the order.

Whether a partial cancellation can be accommodated will depend on:

• The status of each item.

• Product availability.

• Fulfillment status.

• Delivery arrangements.

• Whether the items have already been dispatched.

• Applicable product-specific requirements.

California Propane will communicate the applicable outcome before confirming a partial cancellation.

12. Changes to Orders

A request to change an order may be treated as a cancellation and replacement of the original order where the requested change materially affects:

• Product type.

• Quantity.

• Delivery location.

• Delivery date.

• Delivery requirements.

• Price.

• Other material transaction details.

Customers should contact California Propane as soon as possible if they need to make changes to an order.

Changes are subject to availability and fulfillment status.

13. Failed Cancellation Requests

A cancellation request is not considered confirmed until California Propane communicates that the cancellation has been accepted.

Customers should not assume that an order has been cancelled merely because a cancellation request has been submitted.

Where an order remains active, the customer remains responsible for the transaction unless and until cancellation is confirmed or another applicable remedy applies.

14. Customer Non-Availability

A customer being unavailable at the time of delivery does not automatically constitute a cancellation.

Where a customer is unavailable and the delivery cannot be completed, California Propane may attempt to arrange another delivery time where appropriate.

Additional charges may apply where permitted and where the applicable charge is communicated to the customer.

Customers should contact California Propane as soon as possible if they know they will not be available for a scheduled delivery.

15. Consumer Cancellation Rights

This policy does not limit any statutory cancellation rights, cooling-off rights, refund rights, or other consumer protections that may apply to a particular transaction under applicable federal, state, or local law.

Where applicable law provides a customer with a right to cancel an order, California Propane will comply with the applicable legal requirements.

16. Cancellation and Returns

If an order cannot be cancelled because fulfillment has already progressed, the customer may, where applicable, request a return or refund under our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Not every product will necessarily be eligible for return due to its nature, condition, safety requirements, or applicable law.

Customers should not independently transport or return propane or other regulated products without receiving appropriate instructions from California Propane.

17. Cancellation and Delivery Charges

Where an order is cancelled before delivery and a refund is due, treatment of delivery or service charges will depend on the circumstances of the cancellation and applicable law.

Where delivery or service has already been performed, charges associated with services already provided may not be refundable where permitted by applicable law and the terms of the transaction.

Any applicable non-refundable charge will be communicated where required.

18. Policy Changes

California Propane may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our products, services, business practices, cancellation procedures, or applicable legal requirements.

The updated policy will be published on this page.

Changes will not retroactively remove rights that apply to completed transactions where prohibited by applicable law.
